Since the early times of human life, there has been dominion of the male gender in the society. For example, in the Bible there is little record of women. However, the 21st Century has seen the upsurge of women who are not only competing but also dominating different sectors. Someone once said that studying women is like rocket science and time should be spent loving them and not understanding them. It was joked that even the best researchers in the world would spend two lifetimes trying to unravel the mystery known as women. On a lighter scale, men are known to be less complex in many perspectives. I try to tie the loose ends concerning what the modern man wants from his women and yes we do have needs and wants too.
Communication
Men are very straight forward at most times and value good and effective communication. When we do identify that lady who makes our day, we do everything we can (money aside) to try and make her happy. We expect to be looked upon for moral support because truly, a man’s heart melts at a woman’s vulnerability. In the event that something goes wrong in the relationship, we strongly believe that talking things out and communication can resolve them.
Hero
Ever seen that big and strong action hero that people look up to in a movie? There is that feeling that comes and everything is going to be alright when the hero shows up. It is in that same line of thinking that men stand to be recognized as his partner’s hero. We do appreciate in our own way when the lady puts us on the fore front of her world so that we can live this short life together. It is no surprise to see that men are very protective in nature. We may not be as emotionally entangled as women, but the one we treasure becomes our object of protection.
Submission
A good man has a strong mentality about himself. He finds it normal to be in control. A better partner is the one who lets him have that control. There is something innocently sensual about leading a woman and her being submissive. However, people should not confuse this with making her your puppet or play toy. Mutual respect should be observed to ensure that the no line is crossed as regards to how she submits.

Naturally, men are the more aggressive of the two in society. We all have our flaws and challenges in life. Men more often than not like handling their issues on their own but there are times that we require somebody to share this information with. Who better to talk to than our significant other? Somehow knowing that the woman is listening can calm a man down and this will enable him to get his act together. The greatest conversationalist is someone who listens. Being able to calm a man down can bring out two positive strikes. One, he will be in a position to sort out his problems and two he is going to appreciate the effort and in turn treat you more like the princess you have always been.
